I was told that there is a coffee shop in Singapore that still retains its kampong appearance. This coffee shop was located at along Picadilly Road near the old Seletar Camp. I was at Seletar Dam taking pictures of birds when I decided to check this place out since it was very near. When I arrive my first impression was that time had gone back 50 years. The coffee shop had little upgrading and retains much of its kampong settings. There is a malay, chinese and a drink stall in that coffee shop. I ordered a cup of ice milo which cost SGD1.20, no difference from other coffee shop. The place is usually frequented by workers working nearby and not much people actually knew of this place due to its secluded location. It is said that the coffee shop will be demolished soon in December 2012 and those who are interested in visiting should be quick before it is lost forever.
Here are some pictures I took with my Samsung S3 using Instagram app.
