This Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) was rehabilitated by Jurong Bird Park and released back into the wild. When I arrived at the place where is was spotted, I saw it resting on the ground, which is very unusual. I thought it was injured or something as it did not flew off even when I was so close to it, but after a while it flew up into the trees. I concluded that the kite was used to the presence of humans during its rehabilitation period and hence showed no fear to human. However, the bird park decided to bring it away as fear that its friendliness could be a danger to other humans such as poachers.
