The Mangrove Pitta (Pitta megarhyncha) is a rare and endangered bird of Singapore, it was said that Pulau Ubin is the only place left where they can still be sighted, but recently it has been sighted at mainland Singapore and had every bird photographer went crazy to get a  shot of it. Some senior birders had even waited many years for this fella. I was lucky enough not to wait that long, but then again it does not make it easy to get a shot of it, I had to wait for my 3rd try, and waited since morning before it came out in the evening and hang around for 2 hrs for me to get some shots. It is the only bird I had to wait for so long in one day yet.
